Purpose

Provide examples of member spotlights that Local Groups can use to recognize members, celebrate involvement, and help members get to know one another.

Member spotlights help put faces and stories behind the membership roster. The examples below provide simple, repeatable formats that can be adapted for newsletters, websites, social media, and other member communications.

Spotlight Formats

Tips for Member Spotlights

Rotate formats to keep the newsletter fresh
Keep a backlog of responses so you’re never scrambling
Edit lightly for clarity, but keep the member’s voice
Always confirm permission before publishing personal details
